Mosaic Mirrors

In 2002, Mark and Mary started "up-cycling" left over glass from their popular boxes to create unique, contemporary mosaic mirrors. Today, these mirrors have grown to be an important part of their body of work and are sought after by avid collectors of “funky” art.

     Our Mosaic Mirrors are an exciting alternative to the ordinary styles you’re used to seeing! Mark designed the profiles to first be very strong and lightweight, but also thick, shapely and fun.

     The bases are made of laminated foam/masonite, an incredibly rigid, lightweight composite material.  The glass mosaic pieces are not assembled of broken, random bits, rather their shapes are painstakingly cut so that they precisely interweave.  The result is an artwork that transcends “craftiness,” yet is distinct from traditional Roman-style mosaic. The edges of the mirrors measure 2.5 inches to the wall, and are completely surrounded with glass strips, forming a beautiful border. They easily hang with standard wall mounting hardware.
